Travel media and YouTube companion site

Tomo Travel

The official website for my travel YouTube channel. Beyond designing and building the site, I write the articles and made both of the games you can play on it. It gathers the prices, directions and travel tips that don’t fit in a video, so viewers can move between videos and articles while planning their trip.

Design highlights

  • The channel’s world on the homepage

A large photo of the night sea and stars brings the channel’s “travel at night” mood straight to the homepage.

  • Bright, readable articles

Blog and travel-journal pages switch to a light palette, with a magazine-like layout made for reading photos and text.

  • Typography built for phones

Most visitors arrive from videos on their phones, so type size, line spacing and photo sizes are tuned for mobile first.
